Located south of King Street, between River Street and the Don River, RiverCity is the first phase of the Waterfront revitalization project. Winner of BILD’s 2010 design award, the development itself will consist of four phases featuring over 900 loft-style suites and family-friendly townhouses, as well as restaurants, cafés and boutiques on street level.
Planned for an overall 2017 completion, Phase 1, consisting of two darkly panelled 16 storey towers, and Phase 2, consisting of 3 lightly coloured mini-towers, are both complete and ready for occupation.
Developed by Urban Capital and designed by Montreal-based Saucier+Perotte Architects, RiverCity will have a bold and unique aesthetic that utilizes contrasting light and dark, hard and soft materials. Suites will feature exposed concrete ceilings and industrial-style finishes, paired with warm hardwood floors and wood finishes.
Urban Capital has ensured that RiverCity was built in harmony with the lovely surrounding environment of the DonLands. It was also the first residential development to gain LEED Gold Certification.
